Sweet Shelby arrived to our rescue on Saturday, February 11th and she is just a wonderful dog!

Shelby was found as a stray in Kentucky and was taken to the local shelter.  She was there for a couple of weeks and was becoming quite depressed.  You see....she was actually someone's pet as she had already been spayed.  We are guessing that she was "dumped" out somewhere to fend for herself.  The volunteers at the shelter realized that they needed to get Shelby out of the shelter and onto a rescue quickly.  When we saw this girl's pictures and heard about her situation, we decided that we needed to give her a chance.

Shelby is so sweet and gentle and just wants to please.  She is very submissive and quiet and will only bark at people when she is outside and even then...it is only a couple of barks.  Shelby is housebroken and crate trained.  Her current foster family consists of another big dog and 2 children and she does wonderful with them.  She is a Treeing Walker Coonhound and weighs approximately 55 pounds.    This sweet girl is looking for a new forever home where she will never be dumped again.  Could you be that family for her?

Shelby is spayed, heartworm negative and current on vaccines.  Her adoption fee is $250.
