Stormy came to us as a local surrender from an unplanned litter. She was born on September 3rd, and while both parents are true mixed breeds, our best guess based on her looks is that she may have some Golden Retriever and possibly Australian Shepherd in her background. Her exact breed mix is a bit of a mystery!

Stormy is a very sweet girl and a total people pup. She enjoys being around other dogs but is happiest when she’s with her humans. Since she came from a very large litter of 12 puppies, she didn’t get much early training. Her crate training is going well—she’s content as long as she can see her people nearby. House training is still a work in progress, especially with all the snow and cold weather (though Stormy absolutely loves playing in the snow!).

Stormy has shown some mild food resource guarding, which is understandable given her start in such a big litter. She doesn’t need to be an only dog, but any family with other dogs should be aware and willing to help her continue learning that food will always be available. With time and consistency, we expect this to improve. Because of this, Stormy would do best in a home with some dog experience.

Stormy has been to the vet and is up to date on her rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccines. Her fecal test was negative, and she is current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $450.
