Meet dear ol' Foster! This cute boy has been in our rescue since February, 2011 and he is patiently awaiting his new furever home. He is one of the reasons why being involved in rescue is worth it for our volunteers. What an adorable dog who sadly, did not have the best start in life, but we plan to change that! Foster started out in a shelter in West Virginia and he was very, very scared. Another rescuer had taken him in, but fell ill and was not able to provide him with the attention and love that he so desperately needed. Our rescue took him in, and although still rather timid, he has come a VERY long way!! Foster will need to be in a calm, quiet environment and with a family, couple or person who will be patient with him and allow him time to establish trust. Your reward will be his trust and love--and it will be worth it. This dear boy has bonded with his foster mom and snuggles in bed with her at night, so we know he is capable of trust :-) Foster is approximately 4 years old and weighs around 50 pounds. He is definitely a bassett hound mix and is neutered and current on his vaccines. Along with being housebroken, he shows absolutely no food or toy aggression. He is just a sweet boy who is looking for a loving, patient, and calm forever home. Could that be you? Please check out his webpage for additional information and pictures.
