Charley arrived to our rescue on 8/23 and is ready to find his forever home! He was found as a stray in Ohio.
We had Charley to the vets and is guessed to be around 10 months old and he weighs 18 pounds. We think he is a mix of beagle, dachshund and possibly some terrier. Charley is quiet and sweet, but is shy and takes about 24 hours to warm up in a new home. However, once he has warmed up, he will be your snuggle buddy! He loves other dogs, but needs to get through the initial meet and greet and feel comfortable with the other dog. As for cats...he loves them, too....but the love is chasing them. Charley has been around children and is timid upon initial meeting, but comes to love them as long as the children move slowly with him and aren't grabbing at him. He is crated during the day as he is not completely house trained yet and does have little pee accidents if frightened.
Charley is just a sweet little guy that would do best in a quieter home and with a family or person that can help him build up his confidence with love and patience.
Charley is current on vaccines, dewormed, neutered, microchipped and on flea/tick/heartworm preventative. He did test positive for Lyme and Ehrlichia and may need to finish up antibiotic treatment depending on time of adoption. His adoption fee is $325.
