Claire is an approximately 10 year old Persian who was surrendered to her vet office when she had weight loss and diarrhea and was brought in for euthanasia. Two months later after some diagnostics and medications, she has gained 2 pounds (that’s a lot for a little girl!). She now weighs 5.5 lbs, loves to play and loves to be pet even more! Claire has inflammatory bowel disease, is on a limited ingredient diet and should be in a home where she could be fed strictly this. She is on once a day affordable medication that eventually may be tapered to every other day. She is very good for getting her meds and is a good eater as well. She is great with the other cats and dogs in her foster home, is curious and loving. If going to a home with dogs, they should be very gentle as she is a small girl who loves to go rub up against anything and can get under their feet. She was shaved in a "lion cut" previously, but her fur is growing back slowly. She doesn’t mind being dressed up, and likes for you to clean around her eyes once a week or so.
