Here is one sweet little dog that wants to find her one special person that she can be with for life.  Abby has been in our foster home almost two weeks and has really come out of her shell.  We were able to take some new pictures that show just how happy she is now.  She loves to give kisses and is so happy to see us now.

She is a cute little terrier mix with funny "airplane" ears, who is only about 25 pounds and stands about 18 inches tall.   She has petite features and will not get much bigger.

She is housebroken, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Abby rides well in the car.  She chews her blanket in her crate but has not chewed any furniture or other items.  She is learning to play with toys and likes her nylabones! She is a "soft toy destroyer" and has to work at them until she gets the squeaker out!

When she first came into rescue she was very scared and shy.  But she warmed up very quickly to her first foster mom, and although she had to move to another foster home due to vacation schedules , she again was able to overcome her initial shyness and has become attached to her new foster Mom as well.  If you apply for Abby and would like to meet her, you will have to understand she may act shy around her new owner at first too, but once she warms up you will have a lifelong friend. She is smart, and learns very quickly.  Many people look for dogs who are good with their cats and Abby certainly is.  She is friends with the cat in her foster home.

She may have been abused by men in her past since she is more shy around men than women, but has made big strides in accepting Dad and the teenage son in her current foster home.  She has even rolled over and accepted a belly rub from Dad!

You can apply to be the lucky person to adopt Abby if you have the time and attention to devote to her by filling out an application online at
www.worthytails.rescuegroups.org

Abby is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccines. She would be a great companion dog, walking partner, and loyal friend if you give her the chance.
