This Little Man, Ricky joined our rescue on 11/25/19 as an owner surrender. We do not have much information as to why. They just did not want to care for him anymore. Their loss, our gain! What a little gem he is!

His foster mom just loves him! She is able to take him to work each day with her. He hangs out with her while she grooms other dogs.

Ricky is about 1-2 years old, we think he is a chihuahua-poodle mix of some sort. The previous owners shaved him to the scalp, so we are waiting for his hair to grow back for a better breed guess.

Ricky is in a foster home with cats, kittens and 7 other dogs. He gets along well with them all! He meets dogs all day long at work with his foster momma! Ricky has a little bit of separation anxiety, he is really upset in a crate. He is fine when left out with the other dogs. So, he would do best in a home with another playful dog around. Ricky is potty trained, walks fairly well on a leash. Goes out in public well (which is not too common with little dogs). He does not bark really at all (only when someone first enters the home), he just whines a little when he is nervous or for attention.

He really is all around a great pup! He did mark a little when he first came into foster, we think due to him not being fixed. He is scheduled to get fixed later this month. We have only had him a week so far, so we will continue to update his bio as we learn more about Little Ricky!

Update: Ricky was around kids recently. He does do well, but the young ones make him a little nervous. We are looking to home him with children 8 years old or older.

At time of adoption, Ricky will be neutered and microchipped. He is current on rabies, distemper and has been treated with flea and tick preventative and is dewormed. His adoption fee is $375.
