Sailor is a sweet boy whose time was up at a high kill shelter in Kentucky. He has made it to safety with his best friend, Santos... within just one hour of being euthanized!
Sailor is about two years old and has been neutered and current on all vaccines....also being microchipped on 7/17/09. He appears to be a labrador retriever/border collie mix. He walks fine on a leash and rides well in a car. He could use a refresher on some of his commands and we are currently working with him and are hoping to "refresh" him the basics prior to adoption. Sailor also appears to be housebroken as there have been no accidents but we let him out frequently to play and romp with Santos and other dogs in the household. His true personality is coming out now that he's adjusting very well into his foster home. He is truly a happy and loving boy and very devoted and willing to please.
Sailor would like to speak: "Well, as you can see by my picture, I was named Sailor for a reason! I just love to soak in my little kiddie pool. Outside playtime is the best! Santos and I really enjoy romping together and having a chase race after toys! Of course, because I am part border collie, I always win! I really love humans, too! I am super friendly with people and kids and would do well with pretty much any family. My foster mom says I desire a lot of attention. Well, attention is great! So, why not?! I am housebroken and do well walking on a leash. I may need some work on not jumping up on people, but I am smart and I think I can learn not to do that. Don't you think I sound like a great dog?"
