Santos was rescued in the nick of time from a very high kill shelter located in Kentucky.  He was one of the lucky ones!  He and his best friend, Sailor made a long journey to a place that will keep them safe, healthy and with a full belly until he has found his forever home. 

Santos looks almost to be a purebred boxer...but with a long tail! He is a beautiful brindle color and has the markings of a boxer, but is not quite as stocky like a boxer.  Santos needs to work on his manners and commands as his original owner did not take the time.  We are working with him and hope to have taught him the basic commands prior to his adoption.  He gets along great with other dogs.  Only two weeks in his foster home has proved  how loving this dog is. He gets along great with all dogs. Santos is current on all vaccines, neutered and being microchipped on 7/17/09.

Santos has a few words to say:  "Am I a good-looking dog or what?!!  I think I am quite the handsome fellow and have a really cool personality to go with it.  I looooove everybody and other dogs!  Playing is the best!  I just looooove to play, play, play, play and play some more!  Snuggling up with people is pretty awesome, too.  I do quite a bit of that, too.  Since I am a bigger dog and love to run around and play so much, I would do better in a home with older kids.  I might bulldoze over toddlers....not meaning to, but because I am so focused on playing!   If you are an active family with older kids and excercise me everyday....I will be your best companion!  Won't you think about giving me a furever home?"

Santos is a sweet boy who would love to find a home to call his own.  Could you be that family?
