Daisy joined our rescue on August 22nd coming along with her brother, Duke who were surrendered to a rescue on Alabama as their owners could not care for them. Shortly after arriving, Daisy and Duke were not feeling well and taken to the vets. Duke was diagnosed with a strong case of parvovirus and sadly, was not able to beat the virus and we lost him on August 26th :-(. Daisy actually never tested positive for the virus, however, we hospitalized her per the vet's recommendation. She never came down with any symptoms from the virus and is doing great! She has though, since being home, developed some separation anxiety and needs to be with either a person or another dog. If she is left alone, she will continually cry. We believe over time, this will fade once she becomes older and builds up her confidence and becomes comfortable in her surroundings. Daisy has been through a lot in the short time of her life and needs a family that will be patient and give her the love, support and training that she will need.
Daisy is a young pup and we believe a mix of border collie and hound. She most likely will grow to be a medium sized dog. She is a very sweet and playful puppy and loves to snuggle :-)! Her foster family consists of 2 dogs, a cat, and 2 young children and she is fine with all of them.
Daisy is up to date on vaccines, dewormed, current on flea, tick and heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $350.
