Cheyenne and her littermates joined our rescue on February 27th from Alabama.  They were an accidental litter and Cheyenne is now in search of her forever home (the boys found their forever homes).  The mom is an Australian Shepherd and we believe there were multiple fathers in this litter. Cheyenne has the markings of an australian shepherd, but she has some hound traits. The pups were born the beginning of October, 2020.  They were a litter of 8, however, contracted parvo.  Cheyenne beat it and the boys never got sick.  Sadly, none of the other pups survived :-(.  She is the only female and currently weighs 34 lbs and will remain a medium size dog.

Cheyenne is a sweet, very playful pup!  She is currently being foster with 5 dogs (from young to senior) and does great with all of them.  She can be timid when first meeting her, however, she warms up quickly.  Fetching tennis balls is a blast as well as playing with dog toys (and destroying some...lol).  We are working on house training and making progress (slowly).

Cheyenne will need a very secured fence.  She has tendencies to be a runner (thus, the hound traits).  Even with opening doors, we have to watch closely as at times, she wants to dart out.  So, with this behavior, no children (although she is totally fine with them).  We would like there to be at least one other playful dog as she really does enjoy romping with them!

Cheyenne has received her DHPP, rabies, and lepto vaccines; dewormed; treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention; spayed and microchipped.  Her adoption fee is $400.
