Ellie and her brother, Tux joined our rescue in the beginning of January and are in search of their new forever homes. They were found as strays in Alabama.
Ellie is approximately 3 1/2 months old and currently weighs around 17 lbs. Our best guess is that she has some hound in her along with many other breeds! She will probably grow to be a medium to large dog (45 to 60 lbs). Her markings are beautiful with brindle legs and face! She is definitely not a fan of cold weather and a sweater is kept on her often.
Ellie is a very sweet and on the calm side. She is shy, but warms up quickly and wants to please you. Her foster home consists of another dog in which she is totally fine with and a 2 year old grandson that visits a couple times a week. With children, she would need a home that is not rambunctious and chaotic all the time. A quieter home would suit her best. She is doing verv well with crate training and potty training. Her foster mom said she is also learning to walk well on a leash!
Ellie is current on distemper, bordatella and rabies vaccinations; dewormed and current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $400.
If you are interested in adopting Ellie, please submit an application on our website at https://worthytails.rescuegroups.org. For any questions, please send an email to jessie.wilson@comcast.net.
Thank you for your interest in a rescue puppy!
