"Tara" is a 7-month old female Yellow Labrador Retriever/Shar-Pei mix. This beautiful girl has a beige and yellow short smooth coat and a face that will melt your heart when you look into her eyes.

"Tara" has a rather large, wide velvety nose which probably comes from the Shar-Pei side of her family and just begs to be petted. She has a gentle disposition, and there's just something special about this girl.

"Tara" has been in foster care for the past several days and her foster parents were kind enough to submit documentation about her time with them. They report that she is very alert, obedient, gentle, and gets along well with other cats and dogs and everyone she comes into contact with. She is not a fussy eater, she is playful and chases balls, etc., and just wants to be with people and follows them around. "Tara" walks nicely on a leash, sits on command, and sleeps wherever her bed is placed.

Her foster parents say that she is A PERFECT PET with just one exception and that one fault is that she was not housebroken when she left the shelter. However, she was starting to "get the idea" of using the outdoor facilites after the second day, so it seems that it would not take much additional training to help her become the perfect dog with no exceptions. "Tara" will make someone an absolutely wonderful companion if they are willing to spend just a little time and help her with housetraining. She is a very smart girl and wants to do anything to please her new owner in return for unconditional love
