We have no idea how such a nice dog can end up in a kill shelter! This boy is one of those almost perfect dogs you hear about. Henley was found wandering around with two collars but no ID. No one has come looking for him and he's missing being part of a family. Henley is sweet, calm, good with other dogs, doesn't seem to mind the cats, and loves to be petted and played with. He is already neutered and up to date with his shots!
He's approximately 2.5 years old, and we are hoping someone takes him in and treats him good for the rest of his life. He told me he promises to be a good boy if someone will feed him, pet him and give him a nice place to sleep.
Henley is still living in a shelter, and his time is ticking...Our fosters are full, but we've met this guy and he would be a great addition to any family.
"Henley" knows that he is not a "fancy dog" but he hopes people realize
it's what inside that counts. He is a gentle fellow with a very sweet
disposition. The volunteers who spent some quality time with this
special boy really fell in love with him. He walks extremely well on a
leash, stops whenever the handler stops, and does not start to walk
again until given the ok. We think that he would be a wonderful
companion dog and will certainly give years of unconditional love to
whomever gives him a loving home. "Henley" weighs 53.2 lbs. He has
already been neutered and could leave the shelter for his new home
immediately with an approved adoption application.
