Darla and her littermates arrived to our rescue on July 9th and are still waiting on forever homes. Most have found their families, but Darla is wondering where her family is!
A DNA test was done on one of her siblings and we know she is 51% labrador retriever; 39% cattle dog; 4% rottweiler; 3% german shepherd and 2% golden retriever. We believe she will end up being a medium size dog as she is 6 months and only weighs 38 lbs.
Darla's foster mom said she is the sweetest pup! She is friendly and sociable and does well with children. We believe Darla would do best with a family that has another younger/middle age dog that will be buddies with her. She likes to tell stories (she may have some husky in her...lol) and has to be with either her people or her buddy. She does well in a crate, however, snuggling in bed is much more preferred :-). She is now fully house trained and does need daily exercise. Darla is your typical active puppy that loves to play, sleep, and enjoys her water and toys!
