Sam arrived to our rescue on July 23, 2022 from Alabama where he was found as a stray by a local rescuer. She had found Sam's owner and tried to return him, but the owner said he didn't want him and to take him into the rescue. Well...you know the saying, "one man's junk is another man's treasure" and that is definitely the case with Sam!!
Sam is around 4 months old and we believe he is a mix of yellow labrador retriever with maybe some beagle as well as dachshund. Whatever his mix is, he is absolutely adorable! He has beautiful green eyes that add to his cuteness :-). Our best guess is that he will end up a medium sized dog, maybe around 40ish lbs.
Sam is a very sociable, friendly pup! He is being fostered with another dog and they just love each other, so he is good with other dogs. We also know that he is very good with children. Although there are no cats in the foster house, we believe he should be fine with them since he is still just a puppy. His foster mom is working on his house training and crate training and that will need to be continued. Sam is just an all around wonderful puppy and should do well with a family that is active and can handle the energy of a puppy.
Sam is current on vaccines and flea/tick/heartworm prevention and has been dewormed. His adoption fee is $400.
If you are interested in adopting this cutie, please submit an application on our website at https://worthytails.rescuegroups.org. For any questions you may have, please send an email to jessie.wilson@comcast.net.
Thank you for your interest in a rescue puppy!
