Tanner is one of those almost perfect pups.  This very handsome boy has the most wonderful personality.  He is quiet, easy going, gentle and friendly;  so appreciative of the smallest kind gesture.  Maybe that is because he had been dumped, along with at least two other dogs in a remote forest and he was extremely thin when found by some very nice folks. He has gained around 10 pounds so far and has some to go. The other dogs with him were an adult purebred Boxer and a young Black and Tan hound mix (both have found homes :))...we think the Boxer was his Daddy and the hound was his sister. Tanner rides pretty well in the car, no sickness or anxiety, just curious about things along the way....and of course he prefers to help drive.  He needs some more experience on leash but he enjoys the time and attention of walks. He is good with other dogs, cats and kids.  We pet him while he eats and he loves it.  However, he has been so very hungry that we feed him separately from other animals for now.  He is still a little thin to withstand the neutering process but we will have that done pretty soon so that when he goes to his forever home it will have been done. He has been thoroughly checked by our vet (everybody who saw him just raved about how darling he is) and we are giving him his shots a few at a time so his system isn't overloaded all at once.
