Tessa has just arrived in foster care, which to her must seem like a heavenly place.
This little girl was turned in to a high kill shelter by an owner who not longer wanted her, but it does not appear that she was verry precious to them.  She was matted and covered with fleas.  Her nails are so long it must be hard to walk.

She has had a bath, been treated for fleas, and had her rabies, distemper and bordetella shots. We can't wait to see what she looks like after a trip to the groomers!

We are only guessing at what mix she might be.  We only know she is 100% cute!
So far she is quiet and shy.  She gets along with other dogs and cats she has met and walks nicely on a leash.  She has recently had a litter of puppies, and will be spayed before she is adopted, so fewer unwanted dogs end up in shelters like she did.
