This is little Trooper and he certainly is that.  Trooper was taken from his owner due to neglect.  He had sarcoptic mange so bad that almost all of his hair fell out and he was itching all the time.  That is not to mention the fleas and worms he had also!! Nobody wanted to touch him so there he sat in the kill shelter with little to no hope of ever being a beautiful and beloved pet.

Oh, but things have a way of changing sometimes.  Trooper was rescued, taken to a vet, treated and given a foster home.  He has gone from a miserable little fellow to one who is happy to be alive.  He wags his little naked tail as if he doesn't know he looks a little strange to most folks.  Okay, he looks a lot strange to most folks since he is almost totally hairless.  Trooper is waiting for his forever home where some loving family will patiently love and care for him even while he morphs into a normal, even lovely, dog. 

Humans can contract sarcoptic mange (scabies) but it cannot live long on humans, though it does itch intensely until it dies off.  However, very soon Trooper will not be contagious.  His foster mom wears surgical gloves when handling him but very soon he won't be contagious.  Other pets can be protected from contracting it if they have Promeris or Revolution flea/tick preventative applied (which kills manges).

Is this the little boy who was saved just for you?  Would you take him and nurse him through this awful time in his little life?  It will take a special angel.....for this special little angel.

Troopers adoption fee is $200 which will be used to help pay his vetting and boarding in ICU until he went into foster care.
