Opie is a two year old sweeheart, another homeless but almost perfect little doggie. He's mix of Chihuahua and Beagle. He's 12 pounds and about 10 inches high at his shoulder. He was brought into a rural shelter after having been hit by a car and left on the side of the road. A good samaritan picked him up and brought him to the shelter. Fortunately, his injuries weren't severe and Opie recovered just fine.
Opie is great with other dogs and loves running around with his foster brothers and sisters. He loves people and would love to have a special place on your bed or on his own bed in your bedroom. He will need a fenced yard since he tends to want to visit the neighbors if he has his own way. Opie is OK with cats, but loves to chase squirrels. He's housebroken, neutered and up to date on shots. Opie has a very laid back attitude and easily settles down to watch TV or just relax with you. But if you want to go for a run or brisk walk, he's up for that too.
