Gentle, affectionate and quiet, Bogey is one of those almost perfect dogs, behavior wise.  He likes everybody and seems to be good with other dogs as well as cats.  When illtempered dogs rush him he just turns his head away and walks off.....just blows them off!!  so funny.  Today he came upon a box turtle and he looked at it with perked ears, blinked, and went on his way.

Bogey does have a special need.  You see, his former owner let him run loose and a neighbor shot him - because he was a Rottie and was available for sport.  When his owner was contacted about the injury, they said they didn't want him any more since he was injured!  Unbelievable!  He is such a loving boy and hasn't even so much as growled during exams and surgery for his wound.  We thought Bogey was going to lose his leg but folks from OH, WV, PA, and MD came to his rescue and donated enough money to cover the surgery to try to save his leg and IT WORKED!  After 4 months,  Bogey's fixator was recently removed and he is using the leg, but with a significant limp.

Bogey's adoption fee of $225 will provide you with a wonderful, gentle, purebred Rottie.  He is already neutered, up to date with his shots, heartworm tested (negative), wormed, currently treated with heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative.  His tail is not docked.

Due to Bogey's breed, applicant must to agree to a background check.

More about Bogey

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Special Needs: Because of recent leg surgery, Bogey needs to be prevented from romping. He would do best in a home without romping for now. A swimming pool or pond for exercise/therapy would be wonderful.
