Garrett is an easy going, beautiful pup who is looking for his forever home. His two brother who were rescued from a high kill shelter along with him have already found their homes and now it's his turn.
He has the face of a lab but longer hair. He has one of the softest coats ever. He will most likely grow to be a medium to large sized dog.
He is working on his house training in his foster home and doing very well. He has learned how to sit for treats and is working on walking on a leash. He rides very quietly in the car.
Garrett has been in foster care for several weeks and is very social. He loves other dogs, all the people he meets, and even the kitties in his foster home. The cats are not sure they want to play with him, but he would like to play with them!
He is neither shy nor too bold, just a nice middle of the road kind of guy. He really enjoys being with people but is not clingy. As you can see in the additional pictures, he loves to sleep on his back!
Although he is not a high energy puppy, the breeds we think he is mixed with are dogs that do best with regular exercise like daily walks, ball playing in the yard, and other hard physical activity. Please consider this if you would like to adopt any retriever mix.
