My name is Kira and I was brought to the shelter as a stray (with puppies!)on Aug. 6, 2010. Our 5 day hold requirement, to give my owners a chance to claim us, is long past and nobody came looking for us. My puppies have gone to homes now, so I need a home right away. I am a very friendly gal, very gentle, an ANGEL of a dog (see wings), who loves to sit near you and just cuddle. I really prefer your lap but I don't realize how large I am.... but I still try. I am working on leash training as I tend to pull a bit. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, I love having my belly rubbed, I don't mind cats, and I like other dogs and am friendly with everyone. 8-12-10
Kira is now in a private foster home. She is one of those almost perfect dogs, never an ounce of trouble and just happy to be where ever she lands. Her adoption fee is only $200 which covers the cost of her spay, shots, heartworm/lyme tested, vet check, wormed, flea/tick treated, temperament tested and has transportation to meet her new family.
An approved applicant must be willing to submit to a criminal background check due to the history of this breed being used for fighting and/or bait. (Kira is too sweet to fight so she would be used for bait.)
