Ike went to Pet Bath & Beyond Groomers open house today and met lots of wonderful humans. They all commented how handsome he is and so friendly. If you have a fenced yard and lots of love to give Ike may be the one for you.
He has had a tough life so far and we are hoping he will find the right family to love him and give him a new beginning.
Update
We have discovered Ike is some what of a free spirit. Guess that has come from years of taking care of himself on the streets.
Ike will need a solid fenced in yard.He would do best in a home with a playmate and older children that hopefully would not let him out the door.
Personality wise he is the sweetest dog and so well behaved in the house.

Ike has only been with us 3 days and is one of the nicest dogs you would ever want to meet. He is calm and very well behaved. Ike had a bath today and was a very good boy. I am sure this is some thing he is not accustomed to. He spent a good part of his life fending for himself. He lived on the streets having survived on dumpsters and some hand outs. He can win your heart with those big brown eyes. Ike is truly one in a million.
Ike would be great for a first time dog owner. He loves children and while on his own he would sit at the school and watch the children come and go.We imagine he was looking for some one to take him home and love him. He deserves a wonderful life as he is a great dog. Won't you take him home and love and care for him.
This dog is child, cat and dog friendly.
Ike is one of those few "almost perfect" dogs who just likes everybody and everything. He is the perfect size, about 40 pounds, up to date with shots, neutered, walks like a dream on leash, will not use the bathroom in his cage no matter what (holds it for 18 hours which is another reason he needs out of there). Also, perfect breeds for children, Labrador and Beagle.
This dog would do well in almost any home but someone with children would really appreciate a dog like Ike.
