Well...you can't get much cuter than Holly! This little gal has come to us from West Virginia and is looking for a loving forever home that will take wonderful care of her as she deserves it!!
Holly was born on 8/25/10 and is a purebred Lhaso Apso. She is just an adorable little pup that loves to be around people! She does not like to be held....but, likes us to be in the same room as her. It appears she is housebroken as she only had accidents the first day she was here. We have taught her where the doors are and she goes right out to do her business. She does love to play and run around in the yard...even in this frigid weather! Holly is being fostered with other dogs and is fine with all of them and does not bother with the cat. Considering her breed and size, we will not be adopting her to a family with toddlers....not to mention...she is rather puppy mouthy! Holly enjoys playing tug of war on our pant legs and gnawing on our toes :-) She is quite the typical puppy! We have not been crating her since she has not been having any accidents and is not a chewer. She has been sleeping in bed with my daughter at night.
Holly has received her first two DHLPP vaccines and her rabies. She will need one more DHLPP vaccine and will need to be spayed at the end of February, 2011. The vet believes that Holly had a severe allergic reaction to Advantix (a flea/tick preventative) and once spring rolls around...if any flea preventative is applied...a close eye will need to be kept on her.
Holly was surrendered by her family because she had an allergic reaction to the flea preventative and because she was so miserable...scratched and cried at night. The vets ended up keeping her because the family didn't want to listen to her cry. Unbelievable!!
