Ronnie is a sweet pup who has come to us from a high kill shelter in KY. He was born approximately on Christmas day and is currently close to 4 months old. We are not really sure what breeds are in Ronnie as he really is a Heinz 57 pup! As he gets older and changes his looks, I keep changing my mind on his mix! When I look at him and watch him play in the yard, he really reminds me of a greyhound as he is light on his back paws. He is also very lean and has petite features. He may have some labrador retriever or spaniel in him as well. He is a litter of 4 (all of his siblings have been adopted) and some of them look Jack Russell Terrier. Ronnie currently weighs about 20 pounds and will probably grow to be a medium to large size dog...probably somewhere between 40 and 50 pounds.
Ronnie is crate trained and is pretty much housetrained. He is such a sweet boy and gets along great with my own personal dogs and the other foster puppy. He is intrigued by the cat, however, is not aggressive with her and believe he would be fine with cats. Ronnie is a funny puppy and just makes us laugh! His favorite place to sleep is in the laundry basket with a blanket :-) He is a sleepy puppy (seriously....probably sleeps 18 to 19 hours a day), but, when he is awake...watch out because he loves to play!! In doing some research, I have found that that behavior is very typical of greyhounds! However, he is not a runner. We have 10 acres and take him off leash to run and he always sticks by the other dogs and has never tried to run off. We are really enjoying Ronnie as he a very well behaved puppy. He sleeps with my daughter at night and snuggles close to her :-) They both love it!
Ronnie has received all of his puppy vaccines and has been dewormed twice. If you are interested in him, please complete an application on our website at www.worthytails.rescuegroups.org and for any questions, please send an email to jessie.wilson@comcast.net.
Thank you for wanting to adopt a rescue puppy!
