Logan has not had a very good start to his life and we are hoping to change that!  This sweet boy was actually surrendered to us by another rescue that had just started up and overcommitted to what they could handle.  We are glad that we could assist and will help Logan find the right home for him.   Logan is a nice boy and really wants to please you!!  He needs a dog savvy family that will be patient with him and give him lots of love that he soooo desires :-) 

It seems as though Logan was kept as an outdoor dog as he was not housebroken when we took him into our rescue.  He also has quite a few scars on him which would lead us to believe that he was attacked by other dogs.  Logan is skiddish around men, however, after getting to know the man, he is then fine.   As stated previously.....he has not had a good start to life.....but, we are hoping someone will adopt him and give him the happy, safe life that he deserves!!!!

Logan is approximately a one year old chocolate lab mix.  He looks mostly lab to us, however, the vet feels as though he does have weimeraner in him.  With these 2 breeds in him and the fact that he is only around 1 year old.....he is highly active!  He must have a home where he will be adequately exercised everyday...or, he will not be happy and neither will his family :-)  He is currently being walked 3 to 4 miles a day to keep him content. 

Logan is crated during the day while his foster mom is at work.  She is coming home at lunchtime to let him out and is slowly working him up to longer hours.  The good news is that Logan is now housebroken and either goes to the door to go out or "prances"!!  He is smart boy and he does want to please.

Logan is being fostered with 2 other dogs, a couple of cats and 2 kids...ages 10 and 13 years.  He does fine with all of them.  However, he is not fond of small dogs.....so, he must be placed in a home with dogs more his size (which...he is currently 45 pounds).  He loves the 2 dogs he is living with and thinks they are great fun to play with!  We are not sure why he is fine with the cats....but, not with small dogs!  He loves the cats and they love him :-)  As for children, we are recommending a minimum age of 10 years.  Due to his activeness, we feel as though he needs to be with older children. 

Logan came to us very underweight and was very snarky at the food bowl when he first arrived.  He can now eat with the other dogs...as long as he has his own bowl.   He is putting on weight nicely and has quite the hearty appetite!  He still is underweight and will need to put on some more pounds to be where he should be. 

This is a nice dog that has soooo much potential!  He is just such a lovebug and he just needs someone to give him direction and he will be forever grateful :-)  He follows his foster mom around and is always just a few feet away from her.
