Sweet little Harley is a victim of yet another "unplanned, unwanted" litter.  We took Harley into our rescue yesterday (7/2/12) after receiving a phone call from a very nice young lady who had the best intentions of giving Harley a home, however, without the permission of her parents.  Although the parents found Harley to be sweet and adorable, they have no desire to own a dog as their schedules do not allow enough time to dedicate to a dog, let alone a puppy.

Harley is approximately 10 weeks old and weighs 14 pounds.  We do know the mother was a yellow labrador retriever, but we do not know what the father was.  The secondary breed has been indicated as Brittany Spaniel because of his orange ticking and that he does point....but, we do not actually know if this is the breed. 

Harley is a very, very sweet and very sociable little pup!  It is evident that even though not planned, he has been loved and well cared for.  This little guy doesn't know a stranger and is happy for anyone to give him attention :-)  He is being fostered with 3 dogs and a cat and does great with all of them.  He is cutting teeth and can be puppy mouthy at times...so, no toddlers for him!  He walks pretty well on a leash and knows the "sit" command.  He is not housebroken...but, we are working on that.  Harley has also been introduced to a crate and will continue with that training as well.  We have found that Harley LOVES the water and enjoys taking a swim in the pool!  This adorable little pup is a gem and will make a wonderful pet for some lucky family, couple or person!
