Gabby has come to our rescue by a local veternarian who reached out for our help as this poor girl was not in a good situation.  Gabby's previous owner actually brought her in to be euthanized because she didn't do exactly what he wanted; because he didn't take the time to properly exercise and train her.  Thank heavens the vet recognized that Gabby is a good dog and didn't deserve to die because her owner didn't know how to handle her. 

Gabby is almost 9 months old and weighs 69 pounds.  She appears to be a mix of labrador retriever and shepherd.  She is very tall and slender and her fur is medium in length.  Her energy level is moderate to high and she will need to be properly exercised to keep both her and her owner happy.  She does need additional training for leash walking as she does pull and gets excited to see other people and wants to go and see them :-)  Gabby does know the "sit" command and takes treats very gently out of our hands.  Sometimes she jumps up on people....but, not all the time.  A training class would be ideal for Gabby to help her learn some commands and further her social skills. 

Gabby can be stand-offish with men when she first sees/meets them, however, she does seem to warm up quickly.  She seems very comfortable with women.  She is being fostered with 3 big male lab dogs and she was actually scared of them when first introduced, however, is now fine.   As for children, we would recommend older children because of her size and energy. 

Gabby is a sweet girl who just needs a person, couple, or family to be patient with her and allow her to learn through positive rewards....not harsh words.   She is still a pup and has lots to learn and needs to be properly excercised.
