Reggie is an adorable little guy who was found on the doorstep of someone's home and needed a place to go.  Fortunately, we had an open foster home for him and are glad we could help him out. 

We have had Reggie to the vet's office for his vaccines and the vet believes he is probably somewhere between 4 and 5 years old.  Based on his body structure, fur and personality, we believe he is primarily pomeranian and seems to be mixed with possibly sheltie.  He weighs 16 pounds, but could afford to put on some weight as he is thin and his ribs stick out.  He is current on his rabies, distemper, negative on his heartworm/lyme test and being neutered on September 10th.  His adoption fee is $225.

Reggie has been with us since Labor Day and we are still getting to know him.  He is standoffish when he first meets new people and likes to bark at them....but, he does warm up then.  He is being fostered with a family with 2 teenage girls and 3 big labrador retrievers and does fine with all of them.  Being that he is a small dog and can be standoffish, we will not place him with kids younger than teenage years.  Once he warms up with you, he is very sweet and loving.  He enjoys laying on your lap and receiving attention.  We believe he is housebroken as he has had very few accidents and that was only when he first arrived.   He has shown no food aggression and has enjoyed playing with the youngest lab in the home. 

Reggie probably would do best in a quiet home.  We know he is fine with big dogs, however, we are not sure how he would be with other smalls dogs or cats and would recommend a meet and greet.  He really is a sweet boy looking for love and for someone to be patient with him until he settles into his new forever home :-)
