Annabelle is a dear soul. She is trapped in a body that won't exactly let her do what she wants, but that doesn't get her down, and she remains joyful and sweet. Annabelle came into a very rural southern shelter, emaciated, flea-ridden, and with some obvious orthapedic issues.... elbow dysplasia. The shelter nursed her back to health, and discovered a real diamond in the rough: Annabelle is just sweet and gentle and kind and loving as a dog can be. She asks us to overlook her impediments, and see her potential as a companion in a loving, patient, not-so-active, home. The dysplasia means that she is not very active, and we are are walking her short amounts to keep joints moving, and we have a protocol of exercises and support medicines to keep her moving pain free. She is honestly the least troublesome dog we've ever fostered, because she asks for very little. Her eyes are a window into a remarkable soul, companion, friend. She will need support, but it's not overwhelming, easily managed, and rewarding. She would be PERFECT for a quiet, low-key household. If you have questions, please contact her foster at kmcadams7@gmail.com. We truly believe that there is a home for her out there, and that she deserves it.....she just needs an angel!
