Abby joins our rescue from a shelter in Kentucky. She was an owner surrender as she outgrew the size limit that was allowed at the apartment complex where she and her owners lived.
We believe that Abby is possibly a mix of Pointer and Jack Russell Terrier. She weighs 40 pounds and we are told she is around 4 1/2 years old. Abby is a wonderful dog!! She is very friendly and sociable and has yet to meet a stranger :-). Her current foster home consists of 3 labrador retrievers (all male) and she does great with them. We were also told that she was fine with other dogs at the shelter. As for cats, we are not sure. Abby is housebroken and crate trained, however, she really does not need to be crated as she is very well behaved in the house. This sweet girl just loves to be by your side and is very affectionate! She does have a tendency to jump up to greet people and we are working with her not to jump, however, this will take time and will need to be continued training in her new home. All in all, Abby is a very sweet, good dog and will make a wonderful family pet!
Abby is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines as well as flea and tick preventative and heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee is $300.
