Lilac was returned again because the family couldn't take care of 3 dogs. She just can't catch a break.

Lilac is a 30 lb beautiful mountain cur who looks to be mixed with beagle; around 1 year old; already spayed and current on vaccines.  She has been waiting close to a year for her forever home. She spent the first 5 months of her life living in the woods and then in a shelter - she appreciates a warm place to sleep and lots of love.

Lilac is a very timid girl, but SUPER sweet, not a mean bone in her body. She loves everyone and everything but needs several weeks before she will come out of her shell. But when she does, she will be your best buddy. She  is moderately active dog, but her favorite activity is to cuddle up on the couch or on her dog bed to watch tv. She loves to sleep in bed completely under the blankets, but is also content sleeping in her crate.

Lilac would do best in a slower paced home. She would also love to have a furry big brother or sister to keep her company - she loves her current foster brother Isaac, a yellow lab. Because she is timid and is easily startled, she needs a yard with a fence.
