Meet Duke!! This very handsome boy joined our rescue on October 9th from Alabama. He was found as a stray and was being kept outside 24/7 :-(. Fortunately, a good samaritan went and saved him and took him to a rescue in Alabama until he could make his way up to us.
Duke is a black german shepherd puppy who we believe was born around the end of July. He is currently around 15 lbs and will grow to be a large dog. Duke is a very sweet and friendly puppy! His foster mom says he loves people, is food motivated and easily trainable. He walks well on a leash, but does need continued work on house training. As for the crate, he goes in willingly, but will protest after awhile...lol. He is still a puppy and to be expected that he will need continued training. His foster mom is bell training him and he is picking that up quickly!
Since Duke is a german shepherd dog, we will only adopt to people that have had experience with this breed or sufficient dog experience and can handle/understand a shepherd.
Duke has received his first DAPP vaccine, dewormed, and current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $400.
If you are interested in adopting this handsome puppy, please submit an application on our website at https://worthytails.rescuegroups.org. For any questions you have, please send an email to jessie.wilson@comcast.net.
Thank you for your interest in a rescue puppy!
