Sage and her sisters arrived to our rescue on 5/7 from Alabama and are in search of forever homes! There are 6 puppies in this litter (all females) who were born to a feral mom that the locals could not catch :(. Fortunately, they were able to get the puppies so that they will grow up with loving families and not live the life of their momma.
These puppies were born somewhere around March 7th and appear to be a mix of pitbull terrier and possibly some labrador retriever. The mom is said to look like a pittie/lab mix and of course, we have no idea on the dad(s). Our best guess is that they will be large dogs when full grown (50 to 65lbs range).
Sage is shy when you first meet her, but she warms up pretty quickly. She is very sweet and lovable once she is comfortable with you! She needs some work on her confidence, but gets along well with the house dogs. I would consider her a fairly calm puppy, although she does have her moments of energy spurts...lol! The only time she barks is when she is playing with her sister and wants the toy her sister has. The house training is going very well and should not take long to have her fully trained. She loves to play and would probably do better in a home with older children.
Sage will have received all 3 of her distemper/parvo vaccines, bordatella vaccine, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $400.
If you are interested in adopting Sage, please submit an application on our website at https://worthytails.rescuegroups.org. For any questions, please send an email to jessie.wilson@comcast.net.
Thank you for your interest in a rescue puppy!
