Boomer and his sister have come from a very poor area in southern West Virginia.  They were never in a shelter, but have not had the greatest care as their owners did not have the means to provide for them.  The father is a shiz-tzu and the mother is a small border collie mix weighing around 20 pounds.  Sadly, this is probably the 3rd or 4th litter from these two and the dogs end up growing to be around 20 to 25 pounds.  Our rescue has offered the funds to have these two dogs altered and hopefully, they will have it done.

Boomer is a sweet boy who is just a tad shy.  His tail wags when you talk to him and if you just stand still or sit down, he will start to come over to you.  It appears he really wants the attention, but just isn't too sure of it yet.  Hopefully, over the few weeks of getting lots of love and socialization, he will start to be very sociable!  I will continue to update his bio on his progress.
