Jack and his sister, Jill joined our rescue on August 18th in search of their forever homes. These precious pups were found as strays with their momma in West Virginia and landed themselves at the local shelter. The momma has been adopted!
Jack is the bigger of the two puppies and is going to be a very big dog! They are currently around 3 1/2 months old and Jack already weighs around 37 lbs. They definitely have great pyrenees in them and believed to be mixed with labrador retriever. The mom is a great pyrenees mix for sure. We know these puppies are extremely cute, but Great Pyrenees are not dogs for apartments, townhouses, and condos. They do bark when they feel they are protecting the home and they do shed and require regular grooming.
Jack is the more outgoing puppy and although he may be more active, he has more of an easy going personality. He is very sweet and does great with kids. There are no other foster dogs in the household, however, we believe he would be fine with other dogs. He is being crate trained and his foster family is working with him on house training and leash walking.
Jack is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines (distemper, rabies, bordatella and lepto), dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $400.
