Pearl and her sisters arrived to our rescue on June 10th and are currently looking for their forever homes. They come to us from Alabama where a concerned citizen found them dumped at a racetrack and reached out to a local rescue to save them.
We believe the puppies were born around the end of March and probably a hound mix. Based on their current size and body structure, our best guess is that they will be a medium size dog. Since they have been in foster care since the beginning of May, they are very well socialized and friendly. All the puppies are being fostered with other dogs and children and doing well! They are all extremely adorable and should do well with an active family that has time to exercise and train them.
Pearl's foster mom describes her as such: Pearl is super sweet and submissive. She is not a leader, but she will hold her own. She loves to sleep and stretch out :-). When yawning, she makes sounds....always. She loves all toys and bones. She does great in a car while sitting in a dog bed. Food is an absolute favorite and she will eat all of it....lol. Pearl is very food motivated which is quite helpful with training. She sleeps in bed with her foster mom and sleeps all night. Currently working on leash walking and continued house training.
The puppies have received their first two distemper/parvo vaccines, bordatella vaccine, microchipped, dewormed twice and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Their adoption fee is $450.
