Chewy and his siblings joined our rescue on May 14th as a local accidental litter. We are hoping the owners follow through with having their dogs fixed so there are no more litters!
Chewy was born on 2/24/2025 and his momma is a Jack Russell Terrier and the dad is a border collie. These pups may have other breeds in them as well. We believe Chewy will probably grow to a medium size dog.
Chewy is a very sweet, social and cuddly puppy! He is very content taking a snooze on someone's lap...lol. He is learning how to walk on the leash and does great in his crate. The house training is a bit of a challenge, but his foster mom is working with him using talk buttons and hopefully, he will grasp the concept soon.
Chewy is being fostered with another large dog and has met other doggy friends of all sizes and has no fear of any of them. He is very food motivated and can be food greedy. His foster mom has been working on his resource guarding which is only with other dogs. He is fine eating with people around him. As for the cats, he is interested and correctly quickly by them and is learning there are boundaries...lol.
Chewy loves playing outside and finding sticks he can run around with and chew on. He has also finally learned that toys are fun to play with, too! His favorites are the crinkle toys and balls.
Chewy is up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $450.
