Leia and her siblings joined our rescue on May 14th as a local accidental litter. We are hoping the owners follow through with having their dogs fixed so there are no more litters!

Leia was born on 2/24/2025 and her momma is a Jack Russell Terrier and the dad is a border collie. These pups may have other breeds in them as well. We believe Leia will probably grow to a medium size dog. She is the only female and the only one with fluffy fur.

Leia is a very sweet and social puppy! She is content snuggling for a little while, but when she wants to sleep, she goes off on her own and can find the most random places to snooze...lol. She is definitely more of an independent puppy.

Leia is learning how to walk on the leash and does great in her crate. The house training is a bit of a challenge, but her foster mom keeps working a routine and hoping she will grasp the concept soon.

Leia is being fostered with another medium size dog, a few cats and children. She loves the children and does great with them. As for the cats, they are her playmates! Keep in mind, Leia is very small and even smaller than some of the cats, so they are perfect for romping with...lol. Leia is very food motivated and can be food greedy. Her foster mom has been working on his resource guarding which is only with other dogs. She is fine eating with people around her.

Leia loves playing outside and finding sticks she can run around with and chew on. She discovered the pond in the backyard and decided to catch herself a Koi fish...lol. Fortunately, the fish is fine! Her original owners called her "Dora the Explorer" and she earned that name well!

Leia is up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $450.
