UPDATE 10/17/11
Ringo has been back in foster care for about 2 months now. Ringo's foster home provides a quiet environment and he is adapting very well. Ringo spends his days either sleeping in his crate (when foster mom is at work) or curled up sleeping on his foster mom's bed (weekends/eve/etc). He is being walked 1/2 hour a day every day and that seems to be sufficient exercise for him, although he'd always be happy with more exercise! He loves tennis balls and will bring one over to his foster mom on occasion in the evening baiting her to play with him, which she always does because she can't refuse a wiggling butt! Ringo does enjoy playing and chasing other dogs around that are close to his size. He has a foster brother and sister whom are much larger and he doesn't play with them too often, not afraid - just doesn't engage in play activites. His foster mom's favorite traits are his wiggle butt and his moaning and stretching sounds. He sure is an entertaining little guy! Ringo will do well in most homes, as long as they understand that he is a beagle and will run/track if given the chance. He must never be unattended outside as he could easily dig under a fence. He never tries to slip or pull out of his leash and harness, so that may be best for him while outdoors. He gets along fine with cats, dogs, and kids - but may do better in a home with older children just so he doesn't accidentally get let outside unintended. He really is such a good boy and needs to find his forever home soon so he can spend the rest of his days living the good life. He has been bounced from home to home throughout his life so far and is really looking forward to settling himself in for the long haul.
The video is of Ringo after a bath. Look at that butt wiggle!!
Ringo came to our rescue last December from a shelter in West Virginia that has only outdoor runs. We took him into our rescue as he is just too cute and we couldn't bear the thought of him having to endure a winter outdoors as he has a short coat! This sweet boy is very loving and sociable and has yet to meet a stranger.
Ringo was adopted last December, however, has just been returned as the family that adopted him did not understand the traits of a beagle. Ringo likes to follow his nose and needs a secure fence if he is not going to be on a leash. So, please keep this in mind if you are considering this sweet boy. He needs to be properly exercised as he is still a young dog. Ringo is a great dog and gets along well with other dogs and kids!
Ringo is current on his vaccine, neutered, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $175. If you are interested in this loving boy....please complete an application on our website at www.worthytails.rescuegroups.org. For any questions, please send an email to Alicia at alcoble9602@yahoo.com
