Poor Alex was a stray who was picked up in WV. He seemed to have not been taken care of in his 11 short months and the shelter guesses caged for much of it. Alex is a bit underweight but slowly putting it on. He is very sweet and lovable and doesn't seem to have a mean bone in his body. He showered me with kisses when I picked him up from the transport. Alex is living with all small dogs and is extremely gentle with them. He is very healthy overall but was checked by a vet in WV who thinks that he may be prone to hip dysplaia which is not uncommon in the breed. If well taken care of he may never have an issue with it but could possibly need surgery at middle age. Shepherds tend to live to about 13 years. Alex is a lovebug and will be very much loved and cared for until he finds his forever loving home. This boy is a real doll and will be an absolute wonderful family pet.
