***Gerber and Petunia would LOVE to find a home together***
This precious duo came to us from a horrible puppymill in another county where they had passed their "prime" for breeding and were no longer worthy of a home. They are very gentle but are timid at first. They have been terribly neglected and need someone to open their heart to them and show them love. If you are unfamiliar with puppymills, they are "breeding facilities" where dogs are usually kept in very small wire cages outside. They aren't allowed to come inside, and sometimes we even see puppymill dogs who have never touched grass before. Petunia and Gerber have probably only ever been caged with each other, so we would love to see them find a home together where they can share GOOD times and not just bad memories. Please offer them a spot in your heart and home.
This is poor, scared Gerber. Gerber was a puppy mill dog who was disposed of after his services were no longer needed. Gerber was Dumped in a shelter with his mate Mop aka Petunia, and when his time was almost up, another shelter took them to save them. They deserve a chance at love and a real life. Gerber is still scared of humans but is warming up and trying so hard to get the love and attention he never has. Gerber will need some time and patience. Gerber cuddles up with me at night in bed when the house is quiet. He does not have a mean bone in his body and seems grateful that we love him and are patient with him Gerber and Mop, must be adopted together, as all they have ever known was living in a cage together.
