Tasha
Tasha

Sammy is THE best dog we have ever had & that's the truth. She is such a loving dog. Even though she weighs about 55 lbs. now she is still my lap dog! We have never had a dog that would not leave the yard unless tied. I truly believe she doesn't want us to be out of sight. She loves to run, looking more like a horse than a dog when she does! Although I'm more of a cat person, Sammy has changed my point of view. She is MY little girl as you can see in the pictures. If I lay on the sofa, she comes over & waits for me to say "up" & then she snuggles in. I really can't imagine why anyone would have given up such a dear puppy but I'm happy we have her! Thank you for the time & effort you put into fostering these dogs so that they can find a home!

Jackson

Jackson has grown up to be a beautiful dog with an amazing personality. He is so unique in so many ways, from his beautiful coat to his quirky character traits. He stole our hearts the second we saw him. My husband and I had just bought a house and we knew it wasn't complete without the sound of doggy feet and a jingling collar, so we decided to adopt a rescue dog. We were looking for a combination of breeds that we knew would do well with our baby who was on the way in a few months. We decided on Jackson because he was too cute to turn down and his personality was just what we were looking for. He has the enthusiasm and joy to please like the Australian Shepherd (I would put him up against any Aussie in a herding or frisbee competition!) but also is a great laid-back family dog like the Newfoundland. He knows when to play and when to relax. When our baby boy, Elijah, came along on September 26, 2010, Jackson accepted him immediately. Jackson knows it's his job to protect him and is extremely gentle with Elijah. He lets Elijah pull his hair and if he's had enough, Jackson will calmly get up and walk away. He enjoys licking Elijah's face every once in a while, and also snuggling with him. When Elijah is crying, Jackson looks at me like, "Aren't you going to do something, Mom?" He truly cares about him. Jackson knows that I am the one who takes care of him, my husband is the one who plays with him, and Elijah is the one he is to protect. His place in our family is perfect, and it wouldn't be the same without him. We loved Jackson so much that we decided to adopt another rescue dog in January, 2011. Trixie, a lab/boxer mix, and Jackson became buddies right away. Jackson lets her snuggle with him on his dog bed and he loves to play with her out in the yard. They romp around for hours and come inside lay next to each other. Jackson has relinquished his alpha role to Trixie (he has always been a submissive dog) but he doesn't seem to mind her around one bit. Our family is very complete with two beautiful rescue dogs. We are so thankful for Worthy Tails for taking care of Jackson so well so we could enjoy a healthy, well-adjusted puppy when we brought him home. Thank you!

Cody
Cody

A Little About Cody...... We adopted Cody last April when he was approx. 4 months old. Cody was a very laid back puppy and a quick learner. I taught him to ring a bell hanging on the door to go outside and potty. I went through obedience training with him, and he has really exceeded our expectations. Cody has grown with our family, and we could not imagine life without him. He loves to curl up on the couch or bed with us just to be close. He is so affectionate and yet playful too. I hate to think that this little guy (now a big guy) would not have had a chance to know love if it were not for Worthy Tails Rescue. We are so thankful to have adopted him.

Mylie
Mylie

As a family we had just lost our chocolate lab to old age. Of course we were deeply saddened and the house seemed empty. We began to look as a family around local shelters but we weren't quite ready to commit to a puppy. One night, I decided to search the area shelters again and I came across Mylie's picture. It was love at first sight but I wanted to think about adopting for a while before I told the children because I knew they would immediately want to go get her. Once I showed the rest of the family her photograph we were all on board. The Worthy Tails Animal Rescue was fantastic to deal with and greatly assisted us throughout the adoption process. Indee, the former Mylie, has meshed very well with our family. She loves the snow and enjoys getting dirty in the flower beds. She is quite the snuggler and lucky for us she hasn't gotten too big! We were lucky to find Indee and we wish others great success as they begin the search for their future family members.

Frankie
Frankie

We adopted Frankie (now named Winston) when we was 4 months old. A little over a year later, we can't imagine our life without him! He has been an amazing pet from the start-- he was house broken within a few short weeks, excelled in puppy training classes and easily adapted to living with two cats. He is an incredibly smart, energetic and handsome dog. He loves to go on long trail runs in the woods, swim, and play with other dogs at the dog park. Our experience with our adopting Winston has been so positive that we recommend it at every chance we get!
