Jewel and her littermates arrived to our rescue on Saturday, March 24th and are just cute as can be!! They appear to be a mix of beagle and bassett hound. They are approximately 8 to 9 weeks old and are all still pretty small....the average weight being 7 pounds.
Jewel is more beagle as she has longer legs, but has the longer bassett hound ears! She is absolutely adorable and has a great temperment. She is very, very loving and sociable and gets along with everyone! Jewel is being fostered with the 4 house dogs and a cat and does great with all of them. Being that she is a beagle/bassett hound mix, she will probably grow to be medium in size. She does like to follow her nose, so, a fenced yard is desired. Hounds are not an "off leash" breed.
Jewel will have received her first 2 sets of puppy shots, dewormed twice, and treated with flea/tick preventative by the time she is eligible for adoption. Her adoption fee is $250.
If you are interested in this adorable little girl, please complete an application on her on our website at www.worthytails.rescuegroups.org. For any questions, please send an email to jessie.wilson@comcast.net.
Thank you for wanting to adopt a rescue puppy!
