Angel and her littermates arrived to our rescue back in mid-December and are finally ready to rock and roll to their new homes! They had some health woes, but they are finally healthy and looking forward to finding their new families where they can become a permanent member :-).

These puppies came to us from Ohio. The mother is a purebred bassett hound and supposedly the father was a sheltie (or sheltie mix). The owner of the momma dog did not want to surrender her, however, we did pay to have her spayed so she won't have to have anymore babies! As of the end of January, these pups are about 14 weeks old. They have received their first two sets of puppy shots and dewormed 4 times.

Angel currently weighs 15 pounds and she and Bell are the two runts of the litter. Angel is very sweet, but can be a little shy when she is by herself. When she is with her littermates, she has more courage and is more outgoing. I think Angel would do best in a quiet household with no young kids. She does play with her littermates, but she can also be a loner and seems to be content being by herself.
