Bell and her littermates arrived to our rescue back in mid-December and are finally ready to rock and roll to their new homes! They had some health woes, but they are finally healthy and looking forward to finding their new families where they can become a permanent member :-).
These puppies came to us from Ohio. The mother is a purebred bassett hound and supposedly the father was a sheltie (or sheltie mix). The owner of the momma dog did not want to surrender her, however, we did pay to have her spayed so she won't have to have anymore babies! As of the end of January, these pups are about 14 weeks old. They have received their first two sets of puppy shots and dewormed 4 times.
Bell currently weighs 15 pounds and she and Angel are the two runts of the litter. Bell is very sweet and friendly and has a lot of energy! She likes attention and has a nice temperment, but she can run around like a nut :-). She is going to need to be exercised daily to use up her energy, but she does crash when she is tired. Bell loves playing with our 10 month old beagle mix pup as well as her littermates.
