This litter of puppies have come to us from Welch, West Virginia. They are owner surrenders who were living in not such a nice place and the shelter was grateful for us taking them to a clean, safe place.
I have to be honest and admit that I am quite stumped by this litter of puppies as far as what breeds they might be! I do believe australian shepherd based on the fact that 3 are merle and the mother is merle, also. I think they also look jack russell terrier, but all of these puppies have very curly tails!! Based on the fact that one is blonde and one is black - possibly pug, too?? All I can say is they are 100% mutt and are not going to be very big in size! They have petite features with small paws.
Freckles is the shyest puppy, but very sweet! He will come up to me, but is much more confident with his siblings around. I think Freckles might do best in a quiet enviroment with another dog or two. He is fine with children, but I will not adopt him to a family with toddlers. The children must be older. He really enjoys playing with his littermates and a good round of roughhousing! Freckles is somewhat uncomfortable when you pick him up, but once you do, he just clings to you! He will come up to greet you, but is always the puppy furthest away. I can tell he truly wants to snuggle and give kisses, but he just needs to know that it will be okay! With some good TLC, he will be just fine and make a very loving pet.
