Auggie and his littermates joined our rescue on Wednesday, April 10th and are in search of their new forever homes! They join us from a shelter in Valley, Alabama. They were surrendered by their owners as they were not planning for puppies and could not care for them. The owners say the mother dog is a purebred Chesapeake Bay Retriever. I think there were multiple fathers in this litter!
Auggie is one of two chocolate males in this litter and currently weighs 19 lbs. I think Auggie's dad may have been a boxer. He has the floppy jowls and underbite along with a shorter tail! It wasn't cropped.....I think he was just born with it that way. Auggie is a sweet boy! He is very sweet, friendly and playful! He can be vocal at times, but he is just telling you want he wants :-)!
Auggie is current on distemper, bordatella, rabies, dewormings, and flea/tick/heartworm preventative. His adoption fee is $350.
