Cooper and his littermates joined our rescue on Wednesday, April 10th and are in search of their new forever homes! They join us from a shelter in Valley, Alabama. They were surrendered by their owners as they were not planning for puppies and could not care for them. The owners say the mother dog is a purebred Chesapeake Bay Retriever. I think there were multiple fathers in this litter!
Cooper is one of two chocolate males in this litter and currently weighs 21 lbs. I think Cooper's dad was probably a hound. He arrived with an eye infection which we are currently treating, so keep that in mind with his pictures! He is going to be quite the handsome boy when he is all healed up. Cooper is a very sweet boy! He is very friendly and playful and enjoys romping with his littermates; however, he is more on the chilled side.
Cooper is current on distemper, bordatella, rabies, dewormings, and flea/tick/heartworm preventative. His adoption fee is $350.
